Soledad Piñero Misa

Soledad has been working with some of the most influential actors in all fields of the society. She possesses unique experience from the world of business, politics, public sector, as well as non-profit organisations.

Her inspiring attitude and skillful approach to individuals and groups, makes her a praised and a frequently hired lecturer, facilitator, trainer, process manager, moderator and consultant.

Her references range from employers such as UNHCR, Sida, Unilever, Swedish Government Offices, UNICEF, Swedish Institute, RFSL, Fairtrade, Volvo, Södertörn College, Equality Ombudsman, Swedbank, Royal Institute of Art , Anna Lindh’s Memorial Fund, Botkyrka Municipality, various political parties among many others.

 

At her most recent commitment as Social Mission Manager for Ben & Jerry’s, she developed the companies valued lead activism through multi stakeholder engagement focusing on supporting grassroots movements that lead progressive systemic change for increased climate justice and Refugee Rights.

 

She founded the several awards winning social enterprise Retoy in Rosengård in Malmö where she grew up. Retoy enables children to experience the joy of circular consumptions and the interdependence of children’s right and climate. Retoy was developed with an Advisory Board of Children, and in playful co- creation with UNICEF, Reach for Change, Blocket and several municipalities in Sweden. The Swedish Institute selected and included Retoy’s activities in a toolkit aimed at Swedish embassies worldwide to spread awareness and sparking interest for Swedish methods and solutions that enable us to reach the Global Sustainability Goals. 

 

Before Retoy, Soledad was a consultant at Enact Sustainable Strategies, Chairwoman of the Red Cross Refugee Centre, Secretary-General at LSU (National Council of Swedish Youth Organizations), officer at the governmental Youth Democracy Commission, and director of Youth Against Racism.
